English tools

The English side rewrites a sentence using a fixed phrase list that ships with the page. The script sorts phrases so the longer one wins. "Ate and left no crumbs" is one entry. It is not chopped into the shorter word "ate". Words that are not on the list stay exactly as you typed them.

Gen Z Decode swaps slang and plain English. "For real" can become "no cap". "Go outside" can become "touch grass". The reverse direction reads the slang back. Written definitions, with chat examples, are on the slang dictionary. The translator and the dictionary are the same vocabulary, one as a swap tool and one as pages you can read.

Corporate jargon does the same job for office speak. "Circle back" becomes "follow up later". "Bandwidth" becomes time or capacity. "Move the needle" becomes measurable progress. LinkedIn / resume is a separate list for profile lines: "spearheaded" to "led", "rockstar" and "ninja" called out as title inflation. It does not send messages or apply to jobs.

Decode the subtext looks for known lines such as "per my last email" and "just circling back". Each hit is a possible reading plus a plainer way to make the ask. If none of the patterns match, the page says so. It does not invent a motive.

ELI5 is also a rule list, plus topic cards with a hand-written simple version. Taxes, inflation, Wi-Fi, interest rates, stocks, and AI are cards. A paragraph you paste only changes where a stored rule matches. It is not a model, and it will not check facts for you.

English quizzes

Daily decode is one slang prompt for the calendar day, then a card you can copy. Slang age is 12 questions from the Gen Z list and ends on a shareable label. Office speak is 10 questions from the corporate list and ends on a joke title. Misses are phrases you can paste into the matching translator. Scores stay in the browser.

Arabic quizzes and party games

The Arabic home is كويزات عربية. City banks are curated lists, not machine translation of the English slang. Irbid is left as its own Jordan bank. Abu Dhabi is not a separate Emirati set, because it duplicated the UAE list.

What stays on your device

There is no account and no dictionary server. Paste a paragraph, translate it, copy the result. The host sees a normal page request. The sentence does not leave the browser for translation. Theme choice can sit in local storage so light or dark mode sticks.

Google ad units are not loaded. They do not belong on the language picker, the section menus, or a screen that is only a box and a button. The privacy page says what happens if ads come back later.
